Biden said that trump will try to postpone the presidential election

The candidate in US presidents from Democratic party Joe Biden on air of TV channel CBS expressed the view that the country’s current President, Donald trump will try to postpone the election, scheduled for November 3, due to pandemic coronavirus.

“Mark my words, I think he tries to cancel elections, to come up with some explanation why they can’t be held”, – said Biden.

According to him, trump believes that such an option will help him win.

TV channel CNN notes that trump may not unilaterally change the election date because they are set by Federal law. Only Congress must approve such a step.

The U.S. presidential election scheduled for 3 November. Main opponents will be Biden, remaining the only candidate for the party nomination, and trump. Also participated in the election of independent candidates and representatives of other parties, but traditionally, the main struggle for the White house is between candidates from the main political forces of the American Democratic and Republican parties.

If the US presidential election took place now, for Biden would have voted 47% of Americans, for trump – 39%. This is stated in the study conducted by Ipsos in collaboration with the Agency Reuters and published on 22 April.
