Former Vice-President of the United States, the presidential candidate of the Democrats, Joe Biden said that China and Russia are trying to intervene in the presidential elections scheduled for 3 November. He stated at the online press briefing on 17 July, citing intelligence reports, says Reuters.
According to him, China is making efforts “to ensure that we have lost confidence in the outcome” of the election in 2020, Russia, said Biden, is trying to “delegitimize the electoral process.”
He added that in case of victory on elections will make Russia pay the “real price”, if Moscow will not leave attempts to interfere in the elections.
The U.S. presidential election scheduled for 3 November. The main battle for the White house traditionally conducted between the candidates of the two major political forces of the States: Democratic (Biden) and the Republican party (the current President is Donald trump).
In October 2016 the United States government officially accused Russia of hacking into the servers of American political parties, and meddling in the presidential election process in the country. In December, the CIA concluded that Russia interfered in the elections to help the Republican Donald Trump to win. Russia denies the accusations.
