As reported by “BelTA”, this was stated by Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Vladimir Semashko.
The diplomat noted that in November 2011, Minsk has agreed to sell its remaining 50% stake in Beltransgaz “with the goal that we will come if not to equal, to be very close, comparable with Russia on gas prices”.
In this case, said Semashko, who is on the border of Belarus and Russia the price of gas is twice higher than in Smolensk region.
“Today, I tell you frankly, we are not satisfied with the price that is, and the failure of our colleagues of the agreement,” he said.
The Ambassador expressed hope that by January 1, 2022, gas prices will be in accordance with the agreements.
