Australian Open organizers are considering several scenarios, including the abolition of the tennis tournament, to be held in January 2021.
If, before the end of the year will remain in force most of the restrictions on flights, the tournament may be cancelled or held in an abbreviated format.
“There are several scenarios. The worst is the cancellation of the tournament. Much depends on international flights, whether they are allowed. What will be the timing of the quarantine after arrival in Australia”.
“By that time can still effect a ban on public gatherings, and the tournament can pass without the fans. A lot of different options,” said Craig tailee, one of the leaders of the tournament.
