Approved terms of insurance payments to providers, patients, COVID-19
The government has identified a list of conditions and complications in the development or exacerbation of which is on the background of infection with the coronavirus, the medical staff will receive a lump sum insurance payment. Social security is provided for doctors, nurses and other medical staff, the ambulance drivers.
In the list of diseases and complications – acute respiratory infections of the upper respiratory tract, viral pneumonia, toxic liver damage, sepsis and others.
Also approved the Temporary regulations on the investigation of such claims. It will be valid until the end of 2020 and will allow us compensation to affected physicians and other medical professionals.
According to the decree of the President of the Russian Federation to the employees of medical institutions, working directly with patients with confirmed coronavirus infection or suspicion of it, is subject to the additional insurance warranty if they catch COVID-19 in the workplace.
If it will be the cause of temporary disability, a lump sum payment of the insured sum will be 68 811 rubles. If the disease will lead to disability or death, the payout will be more.
