“Night of the Champions League final against Juventus is the most wonderful memory in football. It was my first final and it was my most important game in life. I will never forget the 12-15 seconds it took me to walk to the ball from center field to break the decisive penalty. At this moment, in these 12 seconds, my whole life flashed before my eyes. From the moment when in my childhood I dreamed of an episode and to understand that the dream is coming true right now. In my head I already know how to beat. I looked at the referee, the ball and Buffon. I heard a whistle, and went exactly as I thought and wanted,” – said Shevchenko.
Recall that Milan and Juventus met in the final of the 2002/03 UEFA Champions League. The main and extra time ended with the score 0:0 and penalties the Rossoneri proved to be more successful opponent – 3:2.
