Andrea Bocelli had COVID-19 and donated plasma
World-renowned Italian singer Andrea Bocelli announced may 26 in Facebook that had coronavirus infection COVID-19 and has recovered.
“Pandemic that shook the world, touched – although very slightly and almost without symptoms – me and some of my family members. We were lucky to quickly and fully recover before the end of March,” wrote Bocelli.
He noted that he never spoke about his illness because he did not want to disturb the fans and tried to protect the privacy of his family.
May 26, Bocelli has passed plasma for medical research at the hospital Cisanello in Pisa, said the Agency ANSA.
“Having the opportunity to donate blood to help find a cure for COVID-19, I immediately said Yes. A modest but fundamental gesture”, – wrote the tenor in Facebook.
