In Fukushima Prefecture in northeast Japan on the morning of July 30, an explosion occurred in the restaurant. One person was killed and 18 others injured, according to Japanese news Agency Kyodo News with reference to local police and firefighters.
According to the Agency, the explosion occurred in the city of Koriyama because of a gas leak.
Among the victims – two employees of the Bank, which is adjacent to the restaurant, and two customers. Bank staff subsequently evacuated.
Employee of another local Bank, located 100 metres from the blast site, said the explosion damaged the Bank building. In the surrounding buildings, the blast wave smashed glass.
Two women at 40 years of age and suffered serious injuries, reports channel News ANN.
