Member of fan movement “the Union” Ingo Paehtz said that in Germany the players EN masse refuse from the part of wages in connection with the pandemic coronavirus. According to Ingo, all professional clubs in the country, the players agreed to cut the salary to pause time in football.
“In fact, not only the players Union gave up a part of wages, who first went to such a step, were the players of Borussia Monchengladbach. At the moment we have all professional clubs, the players gave up part of their salaries.
To me this action is not surprising, since we have a very strong culture of solidarity. The players understand the situation and help the club avoid bankruptcy. We as fans hope we’ll get to the stadium this year,” said Ingo Paehtz.
Earlier it was reported that in Poland clubs are recommended to reduce players salaries by 50%.
