A new record. Putin’s trust rating fell to 25% – poll

The level of trust the President of Russia Vladimir Putin fell to the lowest level. About this is evidenced by the results of a poll conducted by “Levada-center”.

Answering the question: “Name five or six politicians whom you trust the most?”, 25% of respondents called the Putin’s name. In April 2020, 28% of respondents mentioned the President, responding to the same question. In November 2017, the level of trust to Putin was 59%.

Despite the downgrade, Putin remains in first place on this indicator among Russian politicians. In second place is the Minister of defence Sergei Shoigu (14%, 1% more than a month ago), the third Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin (11%). Opposition leader Alexei Navalny enjoys the trust of 4% of Russians.

Don’t trust anyone 16% of respondents were undecided 33%.

Most of all Putin is trusted by women over 55 years of age, pensioners, managers and employees of budget organizations, informs “Levada-center”.

“Young people, several years former, the most overt supporters of the President today expressed explicit disagreement or opposition to his policies, although the intensity of expression of this negativism is very weak (they have the highest rate of absenteeism), said sociologists.

The survey was conducted from 22 to 24 may 2020 on a representative sample of the population of Russia. Method telephone interviews respondents 1623 person. The statistical error does not exceed 2.4%.

According to the survey “Levada-center”, the results of which were announced on may 6, the activity of Putin on a post of the head of state approve 59% of Russians. This is the lowest level of endorsement of Putin for 20 years.

Putin holds the position of President since 2000 with a break in 2008-2012, when he was the head of the government.
