A man opened fire on passers-by in Moscow, died after detention

Muscovite Dmitry Pavlov, who on 7 June, opened fire on passers-by from the window of his apartment, died in the hospital. As reported by “Interfax”, this was stated by the representative of the city Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia Yulia Ivanova.

Pavlov was arrested the night before.

According to Russian media, the man opened fire from a hunting rifle at passers-by from the window of his apartment. When law enforcement officers stormed the apartment, Pavlov resisted and was wounded. The Agency TASS reported that the man was in a deranged state.

The suspect also injured three people-two bystanders and one police officer who participated in the assault.
