“This bottle could be a truly innovative,” said Diageo chief specialist on sustainable development, Evan Andrew.
Reuters notes that Diageo uses less than 5% of plastic in packaging their products. The firm stated a desire to completely abandon non-recyclable materials by 2025.
According to the UN environment programme, every year the ocean gets more than 8 million tons of plastic waste. Current production plastic 20 times higher than those of the 60-ies of XX century.
